.:Musical Numbers 1
Okay, so I’ve decided to post a few songs/remixes here, in this first installment of Musical Numbers. Most of it will probably be from Touhou Actually, only the first two are from Touhou! I’m actually surprised at myself.
君も探し物かい
An arranged version of A Tiny, Tiny Clever Commander, Nazrin’s theme from Touhou 12. It reminds me of Professor Layton, actually…
Floating Darkness ~ Heian Alien Vocal Arrangement
A rather well-done vocal version of Heian Alien, Nue’s theme from Touhou 12. The original of this song was dangerous and driving enough, and this adds some pretty sick vocals to it.

.:Life News and Such
Hey, I suppose it’s about time for an update here! Especially since the last update was… what. Nearly three weeks ago.
I guess I’ll use every few posts to just give a general outlook on what’s going on and why I’m distracted from posting a lot. That’s what most of the blogs I visit do, and while I’m not out to make a carbon copy of them, it’s nice to have basic ideas about how I’m supposed to be doing this, especially with an update schedule that isn’t daily/every-other-daily.
More after the jump! No, I won’t force you to read about my recently not-as-boring-as-usual life! No, there aren’t pictures of the two clean spots in my horribly messy room! Read the rest of this entry »

.:Ugh.
Welp, so much for that plan.
I’m currently looking for a job… applied at a farmer’s market that’ll be opening soon in the nearby city, which would be great. I figure if I can work full-time at even just minimum wage for a few months, I’ll have living expenses for my pre-sought apartment covered and have a little extra left over to buy online crap with. I hope I get it… though, if not, I suppose I can just try for another place sometime.
Just finished Mario and Luigi 3… great game. My full review will be on We Rate Stuff soon, so check it out if you’re interested. I’m also working on reviews for PuchiPuchi Virus and Knights in the Nightmare, so keep a look out. I should probably start writing up reviews for the Touhou games as well, but since you can buy the disks as well as download it online, I’m not quite sure what the legality on that is, and I don’t want to get WRS in trouble. I suppose I’ll ask later.
In other life news, I’ve restarted work on my novel (Trilo, for those who didn’t know about it), with the help of my girlfriend Megan. It’s going rather slowly at the moment, but I’ve made a powerful revision to the first chapter, and so far, it’s going quite well, I’d like to think. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here, though chances are if I get the job I so desperately need, I’ll be taking another lengthy hiatus until I move again. Sigh. Just can’t catch a break, can I?
Has anyone else ever caught that feeling where it seems like no matter how hard you work, how much you try, it never adds up to what you need to be able to be happy? I think I’m in one of those slumps at the moment… I feel like everyone else is getting what I’m working towards, and every time I manage to make a huge breakthrough, it manages to backfire on me. All I can really do is keep at it until I succeed, of course, but… sometimes I wonder if that’s really all I can do. It feels like I should be doing more, but I really can’t think of anything else. I’ve got that feeling in my stomach I get when I’m homesick, even though I’m lying here on my bed. I wonder what that means…
…I wish I could just leave, because this feeling isn’t too great.
.:Video of the Month
This is Fable.
No, I’m not talking that newfangled crap you see on Xbox and Xbox360. This is old-school, as made by Simbiosis Interactive back in 1996. It’s a classic point-and-click type of adventure game. And it’s hilarious.
Everything you hear in this video is real game audio. It has not been edited, save for just throwing random clips in order from the start of the game to the end. Spoilers abound, if you plan on tracking it down and actually playing it.
.:Gravatar, Future Plans, and Fanboyism
So I’m just now learning about everything WordPress really has to offer. I knew it was a blog and all, but I didn’t take the time to really sit down and look at everything… there’s a lot of data that goes on behind the scenes that I didn’t pay attention to when I first started posting, but when I can find out just how people are finding my blog? Okay, that’s pretty awesome. So I now have a Gravatar (that little box thing that shows up when you comment), one that isn’t automatically generated. Cool. I’ll probably update it with something more fitting later.
I’m hoping I can find a job soon… saving money is a must from mow til late October, early November at the latest. I graduate August 19th, so hopefully I’ll have about half of what I want to save up… uh… saved up by then. I want to be settled in Georgia before December… that way, I can start working on getting enough money for my M license and Vespa, and then start off the next year heading for community colleges. I think that’s the advantage to having a birthday in the summer– you fool everyone into thinking you’re younger than you really are. I’ll be 18 when I start in a community college, but in reality, it’ll seem like I’m 19 or so.
Wait… that means I’ll seem older. -Sob.-
Fanboyism after the jump. Oh, and Happy Independence Day! In America! Try not to blow off your hands or your nose or your big toe or anything else when you’re playing with fireworks. Read the rest of this entry »

…If you’re thinking about getting this game, stop thinking and go. If you:
.:are a fan of the Guilty Gear series.
.:like great metal and metal-fusion music.
.:want to try your hand at a fighting game genre outside of the likes of Street fighter or Mortal Kombat.
.:like strange, kooky, and just downright creepy characters.
.:any combined of the aforementioned.
…then you need to buy this game. End of story. It’s good. You’ll love it. It’s not quite like Guilty Gear, but if you’ve played it before, it’ll feel at least a little familiar to you. I’d hurry and get the Limited Edition while you can; it’s the same price, includes a whopping 42-track soundtrack across two CDs, and a very informative DVD featuring tricks and tips from the combined brains of Dustloop and Shoryuken, the former of which I myself am a member and eagerly approve of.
Still not convinced? Well aren’t you hard to please? Videos after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »
